29-acre parcel fits Avondale firm’s plans

December 5, 2006 · 1 Comment

Planned development of an industrial park on a 29-acre parcel is another piece in Avondale’s employment corridor. LaPour Partners, a Las Vegas company, is developing the property, which it calls Avondale Crossing, at the corner of El Mirage Road and Van Buren Street….

The land sold for $5.7 million. LaPour bought it from Marwest Enterprises, a Scottsdale-based firm.  LaPour plans a 355,000-square-foot development in three phases. Work on the first phase is to begin in the second quarter of 2007. Work on that phase will take about a year. Across El Mirage Road, work is under way on a larger project by RDB Development, called the Avondale Commerce Center. The RDB development is on 82 acres and has 315,000 square feet in its first phase.
